1) The Pentateuch. Describe briefly the main audience and purpose, along with a few significant themes of each of the first five books of the Old Testament.

2) The Historical Writings Describe briefly the setting, situation, and main purpose of the Historical Writings related to the promised land, the monarchy, and Israel’s faithfulness to the Mosaic Law (Covenant).

3) Poetry and Wisdom Writings. Describe briefly the main purpose and significant features of The Psalms, Proverbs, and Job.

4) The Prophetic Writings. Describe briefly the main audience, situation, and purpose, of the major and minor prophetic writings.
