Analysis, Vision, and Strategy Portfolio:
Evaluate a particular social change issue or movement of interest to
you. Find an organization (locally, nationally, or internationally)
that is involved in that social change issue. Review their materials,
and provide an analysis of the three aspects of their work:
Analysis
– how and how effectively do they describe what is happening now? How
do they make this issue one of critical importance in social change?
What would you recommend to add to their message for a broad audience?
Vision
– how do they set a vision? How do they or could they incorporate the
UN development goals and/or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
into their work?
Strategy
– What strategies are they using to achieve social change? How are
they leveraging non-violent social change in their work, or how could
they?
assignment will address the three areas, and contain screenshots or
snips from the organization you are studying, as well as the recommended
strategy that you could add. This does not need to be in a traditional
paper format, but should instead represent a portfolio of your
analysis, vision, and strategy, as well as a copy of the materials you
developed for your additional strategy.
