Discussion board and reply to one peer

First, listen to the BBC podcast from In Our Time titled “Evil.” Here is the link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p00547g3 (Links to an external site.)
Then, be sure you have listened to my lecture and read the selections from Nietzsche, St. Augustine and Solzhenitsyn. These are short selections to give you a sense of how some theologians attempt to solve the problem of evil (theodicy), how philosophers think things through, and how other scholars engage with the topic.
Then, I am looking for a few things from your discussion. First, how do some theologians/philosophers/thinkers define evil? Make reference to Nietzsche, Augustine, and Solzhenitsyn, as well as how they relate to some of the other thinkers I mention in ,my lecture. Which did you support and why or why not.
If you want to go all out podcast this semester, feel free to post your “essay” as a podcast or video. I’d say 350 words = 8 minute podcast/2 min peer. Then respond to one person by 11:59pm PST (150 words). Don’t forget to cite something from lecture or readings 🙂 I accept any style (APA, MLA, Chicago, in text simple style such as: (Feres, Lecture one)) See the Syllabus for the rubric.
Finally, since we are, possibly, making podcasts, briefly tell me what you thought of the podcast. Good, bad, indifferent and why did you think that?
As with all participation work, you will not see anyone’s work until you first post your own.
Late work is accepted up through the end of the third late day for a 10% per day penalty, then not accepted after the third late day passes.
