The election of 1912 essentially consisted of two progressive candidates, Woodrow Wilson a Democrat and Teddy Roosevelt an independent. Each of these men had different visions of progressivism and what course to pursue in advancing the movement. As you read the documents think about the goals outlined by each man, how they were similar and different. Also consider if any of their goals/objectives are relevant today. (Video Lecture 8.1)
