As a principal one of the most significant legal issues, I have inherited was the violation of special education rights according to the IEP. It is so important to know special education students’ IEPs. Meeting the deadline dates, making sure an aid is in place, and not failing the SPED students without intervention documentation are challenging, because other people are involved. Another case was a sexual harassment issue with two employees, which I had to move to a higher authority such as my supervisor. This can be a sad situation when both of the employees work in the same building..
