My name is Professor Laure Mack. I am a mother of 4 children-3 daughters and 1 son and a new grandmother to one amazing baby girl. I am a former first-grade teacher who loves to work with children. I enjoyed returning to school to pursue my nursing career at Mt St Joseph. I worked initially as a nurse at CCHMC until I graduated to become an APRN. I currently work as an inpatient APRN at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with children between the ages of 3-18.  I am grateful to be able to help families and their children who struggle with psychiatric diagnoses to heal and lead fulfilling lives. In my free time, I love to hang out with my adult children and grandbaby. I also enjoy playing Mahjong with friends.

Greetings! My name is Dr. Ruth Cangialosi, DNP MSN RN PMH-BC, and you may address me as Dr. Ruth. My husband and I have been married for over 30 years. We have 4 adult children (1 of whom is a 3rd generation RN), 2 sons-in-law, 1 grandson and a granddaughter on the way. I love to read inspirational and thought-provoking works and enjoy a beautiful score of music. My heart and soul love the mountains and a sunset over a mountain, or while walking barefoot on a beach, is just amazing. I love hot chai tea lattes and meaningful conversations. We have a very energetic therapy dog (Black Labrador) named Max, 1 cat in foster care with us, and a huge tabby cat named Mr. Bojangles (Bo for short) that recently joined our family. Family time and time with friends is just beyond precious.

I have one peer reviewed published article (doi:10.29011/IJNHR-147) and one copyright related to mental health nursing assessments. After years of working on the floor at inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospitals from Las Vegas to Detroit, I moved into nursing management. I now provide consultations, speaking engagements, lectures, mentoring, and presentations on board certification for psychiatric nursing. My students and those who have precepted under me, often refer to me as a mentor, with Nurses Helping Nurses and Finish Strong as my 2 favorite mottos.
