My Personal Enhancement Project (PEP) #1: Taking care of the body
Submitted by: xxx
My PEP plan topic and rationale: Kreindler & Amoroso (2019) stated that daily exercise benefits for health and general well-being would be the right choice for health and mental well-being achievements. Daily exercise to keep fit has been among the things I have wanted to do for a long time. The personal enhancement plan encouraged using a current improvement area that matches my need to consider exercise as a routine. Exercise creates room for shedding extra weight, being fit with boosted body strength, helping with mood management, and as a general life organization approach. Setting time for walks, jogs, and yoga constitute my preferred exercises that will take the shortest time possible in my busy daily schedule.
What I will do differently: Since I discovered self-care routines, I did not consider exercise as a way towards self-enhancement, which I thought was more suitable for sports people and those with less busy schedules. Currently, since realizing that exercise is not only good for fitness but a healing and calming tool, I will devote myself to being consistent. I will take 10 mins daily to exercise, starting with walks at the start of the week, incorporating yoga some days and then jogging all alternating consecutively for a productive self-enhancement (Amherst.edu, 2022). The determination to self-improvement through all possible actions has been the motivation to initiate the exercise routines with positivity and sacrifice to achieve the goals of body care mechanisms.
Goal: My goal involves attaining body fitness and mental well-being through being active, meditating, and positively attaining a self-care routine successfully beyond work and other commitments.
Measurement: I will apply the daily tracking chart on time spent exercising and body weight record keeping after consistent weeks of daily exercise to identify any changes toward set weight management goals (Posadzki et al., 2020). In addition, I will assess and track my mental calmness and will towards the new ever introduced self-care approach.
