Research Paper Assignment
A research paper,15% of total grade. 1 point of the grade will be deducted for each day it is turned in late. Any paper received after December 16 receives no credit.

The paper should be between 10 to 20 pages (double spaced using font size of 12). It should be in Microsoft Word or PDF format. The topic of the paper must be related to computer or information security technology.
The paper should be readable and self-contained. Students should include adequate references and background materials. The paper should include tables, diagrams, graphs, and figures to enhance readers’ comprehension of your paper. Use the following format for your paper.
Executive summary (half a page) – Provides succinct information on the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions reported.
Introduction (1 to 2 pages) – Includes back ground material and discusses the scope and limitations of the paper.
Discussion (minimum 4 pages) – The body of your report should summarize and elaborate the research that student has done. Be sure to fully describe any figures, tables, or diagrams you include. Include student’s evaluation and assessment of the research material.
Analysis and Recommendations (minimum 2 pages) – Especially for future work and unsolved problems.
Conclusions (~1 page)

The grading of the paper is based on the following (15 points total)
Organization of the paper (2 points),
Description of the topic (5 points),
Evaluation, analysis, and recommendations (6 points), and
Paper mechanics (2 points).
