People Of Color Still Getting Mistreated From The World Today
As we all know, African Americans have always been mistreated or not treated equally to the whites for years now. This has caused much damage to the lives of African Americans because of how much trauma they have with them everyday and the sadness they face. In the 1800s is when we knew there had to be an end for African Amercians to have power but again not a lot of people didn’t like the idea of people of color getting treated equally or having any type of authority in life. On January 1st, 1863 Abraham Lincoln knew that slavery had to be put to an end and for the African Americans to be free and not under anyones control but themselves. Yes this was helpful but there were still many huge struggles for the African Americans in their timeline history. They still didn’t have the right to vote, had to be seated at the end of the bus, couldn’t use the same bathrooms, etc. The African American struggled so much in life where it did come to an end around the 1900s. The African Americans were allowed to do whatever in their heart they wanted to do but still they got judged and mistreated due to their skin color. As you would think, life has changed so much in years where everyone gets freedom and to be treated equally the people of color still don’t get treated the same as whites. There is lots of racism throughout the years and till now the year we live in, there are so many sad stories that happen to the African Americans because of their color. This is a huge major problem in the world today because for years now even with getting the freedom and should be getting treated equally the people of color still get judged and treated poorly when they shouldn’t be. There are a lot of racist people. It isn’t certain people, there’s a lot of them even to the point where you think the people who are supposed to help you and protect you can be racist as well.
Everyone knows how from the past the people of color got treated unfairly and till now they still do in ways with name calling, getting accused when they’re innocent, always pointed out to be the bad people, etc. Life may have changed for the African Americans where they have freedom and do get to do things as the whites but also, they still get pointed the finger at with looks people give them and talking. The world today is still sad because of how many racist people there are in the world. We have heard so many tragic stories when it comes to the police and the people of color. As we all know from the news, social media, police are human beings as well and they have opinions and most are racist to people of color. When police pull over a colored person they expect the worst out of them and accuse them of having weapons or a substance of violence and the police take that into them being racist where it can become very violent where it causes a death of being judged even when innocent. Many innocent lives have been taken away from the world all because of judgment and racism. From this, we all remember the tragic story of George Flyod who was killed in 2020 by police officers suffocating him on a street floor. He was taken from his loved ones due to racist police officers thinking they knew what they were doing was right when it was very wrong in many ways because it was taken out of being racist. We all know if this was a white man, there wouldn’t be many officers, they wouldn’t be suffocating him, and we know there wouldn’t have been a death. There is a major difference still between the African Americans and Whites because the color of people get accused of the worst when they can be very innocent and there may be the Whites that are doing the worst but don’t get harmed for it or don’t get it as bad compared to the people of color. As you see, being racist plays a big role still in the time today for people of color and to know that it is still in this time period makes it sad because of all the tragic stories we hear.
As we know, there were many Black Lives Matter protests and after the tragic death of George Flyod there had been a Black Lives Matter protest that was after his death and had been taken into action by everyone. George Flyod was a innocent man who had been murdered from police due to them being racist. This protest was to remind everyone that people of color matter in the world and this protest went world wide because everyone knew there had to be a change with how the people of color are being treated poorly where it causes them to lose their life. It was to show that police are brutally racist and aren’t doing what they should do in those situations the right way because they take it into their own world where they are colored. They are doing something bad instead of doing their job where they are supposed to be protecting everyone, not ones who they want to protect. With the Black Lives Matter Movement, it was to give the world around that the colored people get treated unfairly to where it causes so many violations where it needs to be stopped. There is so much violence in the world to the colored people where it is so hurtful to view or to know. With the movement it wants to get justice for the people of color who get treated poorly in life and wants to show that there is no being treated equal in this world due to the color of your skin.
There are solutions to this big problem. A big factor of racism is getting raised to be the bully to the color of people. Parents can raise their kids to treat everyone with kindness and have respect and not talk bad about other people’s cultures, which can reduce racism for many people today. Letting the children know about African American history is good but don’t teach kids to be racist or think bad about others just because of their skin color. This does play a big factor because racism comes from getting raised from families who are racist and this can be prevented with teaching kids at a young age that everyone should be treated equally no matter what. Another solution, no matter how much you dislike a race, don’t treat them below you, have respect for everyone around you. Next solution, police officers play a huge role because they are the ones who mainly cause the deaths of innocent colored people. With this, the police should do their job the right way and put their differences away so they don’t hurt innocent people. Before they go into the industry of an officer they should be told that they need self control and put their differences aside and know that armed weapons aren’t something you should use when you see something you don’t like. All of these solutions honestly aren’t so hard to do in life because first, it is about respect no matter what you don’t like in life doesn’t mean you are treated poorly, second a job does what is needed to do not what you want to do.
