QUESTIONS:
Please select THREE of the five questions listed below to write your reflection.
What aspects of your self-identity have you become more aware of during this class over the last eight weeks? How has this new awareness of your identity challenged or contributed to the way you interact with your peers coming from similar or different backgrounds and cultures?
Intercultural competence is the ability to understand, communicate and effectively interact with people from different cultural backgrounds. What knowledge/skills have you gained from course reading(s), lectures and lab discussions that would enable you to become more interculturally competent? How does this new knowledge/skill(s) challenge you to think and act with a more open-minded demeanor?
Why is it important to know why we believe what we believe? How has this class made you question your assumptions or reinforce your beliefs around a specific issue? Please share at least three examples that are different from the ones shared on the Midterm Reflection if you chose to respond to this question.
Please describe if there was a topic over the last eight weeks, that made you feel uncomfortable? What were your beliefs and/or assumptions about the topic beforehand? Using what you have learned about emotional intelligence, discuss your thought process around this topic? Have your beliefs and/or assumptions about that topic changed or remained the same?
Think back over the past 8 weeks since the midterm reflection. We have learned a lot in AGRI 201. Please describe one thing you learned and how you will implement it into your daily life. Discuss the struggles and/or barriers that you might encounter as you work to incorporate this new knowledge?
