APA Style Term Paper Instructions
You are all responsible for the completion of an APA style term paper. The paper must be about 10 pages (double-spaced, 12-point font) in length (including the title and reference pages). There must be at least 15 references from peer-reviewed journals.
You are to write a review of the current literature on a topic of your choice that relates to the field of learning. You also must not only review the literature, but you must also defend a certain theory or perspective. In other words, you must have a simple thesis to defend. This thesis does not need to be original. For example, you could explore the two-factor theory of avoidance learning. You could also explore the effectiveness of a particular cognitive-behavioral treatment. You must also explore alternative theories or perspectives as well in the document with support from the literature. Note that your paper should not read like a simple summary of your references, rather, a more sophisticated analysis and synthesis of the relevant scientific literature. The paper should reflect a thorough understanding of the material explored and the extent to which your thesis is supported or not.
