Paper II / Final

Prepare a 1,200 word paper (a, an, the: not counted), double spaced, exploring and offering considered responses to the topic. Font to be 10-point in ARIAL typeface.

Paper II Topic / Growth by Decking: Hudson Yards and Sunnyside Yard

How is the urban morphology of New York City being influenced by two projects, one completed and one under

construction, that have resorted to the decking over of rail yards to create major, but vastly differing, additions to the city? In the course of your paper, include a discussion of a minimum of three similarities and three differences cited by authorities on urban planning/urban design in comparing and contrasting the two projects. Refer to and cite a minimum of three reference titles which appear in the course Syllabus under Research References.

Explore and present the topic, in text and with supporting graphics. Graphics are not to exceed ¼ of any page. Each image is to appear with a caption/title, 8-point typeface. Show page numbers.

Total number of pages, including supporting images, to be 6-7 pages, not including the cover/title page of the paper which should contain title of paper, two images, course name and date, and your n,ame. A final, additional page of CITATIONS (not a numbered page) should be appended to the paper.
