Each student will speak, using natural persuasion, between 5 and 7 minutes on one of the following topics. PowerPoint or other presentation software is required to augment the presentation. The student may use notes, but significant penalties will apply if the presentation is read to the audience. If the student includes video, speaking must be between 5 and 7 minutes. If the student chooses not to make a presentation, a score of zero will be recorded. The student will include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Furthermore, the message must include a recommendation. The student has the latitude to be creative to enhance audience appeal by using examples, color, demonstrations, pictures, video, or whatever mode is available to assist the student to best gain audience interest. The presentation will be given live during class time in the class meeting immediately following the due date. The presentation must be uploaded to Assignments by the due date.
