The topic I have chosen for my final project is The Molotov Ribbentrop Pact (1939). I actually chose this topic because I know nothing about it. I am excited to dive into sources to familiarize myself with the topic and learn new history on a subject that I know nothing about. In a quick overview of sources, it seems that this is a complicated pact between two countries looking to strengthen their alliance and peace between them. This was a pact of non aggression between the two countries, that was an unexpected move between the two countries. In my opinion, strengthening the relationship with a country is a way to protect ones country during times on unrest. In hindsight, this was a move to align powerful countries together while on the verge of a World War.
