In the process, we explore the sociological perspective and the way it illustrates how our lives are shaped by the society we are raised in. In addition, this purpose of this assignment is to explore the causes of global inequality.
Write two-three page 350 – 550 word reaction paper in MLA format with proper grammar and punctuation.

Part I (one – two page reaction paper 45 points)
Go to the following website on the Internet and do the following:

Select a country from the list below and read about the country you choose to research. Provide a brief one paragraph introduction about the country you have chosen.

Based on what you read, select three of the following categories:
Geography
People
Government
Economy
Communications
Transportation
Military
Transnational Issues
From each of these categories choose one fact or statistic that made an impact on you and write one-page reaction paper explaining why.
Part II (one page reaction paper 45 points)
On the same website select the United States. Write introductory paragraph based on the information you read on the website.
Choose the same three categories for the United States that you chose for another country. Compare the two countries with regard to the same information. (For Example, if you chose “infant mortality rate” for Guinea, you should compare it to the infant mortality rate in the United States.) In one page reaction paper, discuss similarities or differences you found in comparing these facts or statistics. In other words, what do these facts or statistics tell you about each country, the lifestyle of its people, and their chances in life? Provide examples in your answer.
Based on your research make a conclusion and apply your sociological imagination to see if people’s lives are shaped by the society they are raised in.
