Reflection: Organizational Culture – How would you describe the company where you are interning? What are the mission and goals? Does the company strategy complement or conflict with these goals? Why is it important to understand the organization’s culture?
Other things to consider in your reflection:
What role does corporate reputation play within organizational performance and social responsibility?
What is sustainability? Think of a company that embraces social responsibility and gives a brief explanation of what they are doing and how it benefits and/or hurts them.
Name a company that has been in the news recently for ethical issues. How is this affecting these company’s profits? How is this affecting their employees?
Does the company embrace diversity? Is the organization inclusive?
Consider the questions above. In less than 500 words, discuss the organizational culture where you are working, is it a good fit for your long-term employment, why or why not?
