For this assignment you will locate a piece of media (it can be a song, newspaper article, movie trailer, youtube video, tiktok video, et cetera) and relate it to one of the course topics. The report should be 2-3 double-spaced pages and should include: a brief description of your piece of media (with the link), an explanation of how your piece of media illustrates the course themes for a given week (analysis) and two research questions that this raises for you (with answers).
The goal of this assignment is to show that you can connect the course concepts, tools, theories et cetera to something you have come across in media/popular culture. This is an applied assignment –so you need to show your understanding of the course material and ability to apply it to make sense of a piece of media.
