One of the most exciting aspects of this course is getting to know each other. To help us get to know each other better, your first assignment is create a PowerPoint presentation to introduce yourself to us. Your presentation should include your name, a favorite quotation about leadership, and a summary of your leadership quiz results (see below). You can post pictures, maps, recipes, clothing, family pictures, pets, song titles, favorite movies, tv shows, etc. for your presentation.
You need to go online and find TWO different leadership quizzes. If you goggle “free leadership style quizzes” or something similar, dozens of different sites will pop-up. Most of them will take you a couple of minutes to complete. They are fun, and they will give you a quick snap shot of your personal leadership style. Include a summary of your results in your PPT. Include the sites on your slides. Do you agree with them? Were you surprised? Did you want to go back and change some of your answers??!!
Finally, include a quotation about leadership. There are thousands of them. We see them on posters, mugs, screen savers, mouse pads, t-shirts, etc. They can come from any source. Would you want a poster or print of any of these quotations for your office? Would you carry a mug with one of the quotations on it? Now that you’ve taken the quizzes and looked at a couple of quotations, how do you they help you define your concept of leadership?
