For your final paper in this class, you will need to offer an analysis of Kindred based on one of the themes we have discussed or your own interpretation. You can choose to work on another text (not used for your first paper) but only if you clear it with me first.
For this final paper, you should offer an interpretation of the text using claims-evidence structure and an analytical thesis statement. In addition, you need to bring in some outside research for this paper, and your final paper must include at least TWO peer-reviewed or academic sources on your chosen topic/story. If you choose to write on Kindred, you can use one of the two sources I provided, but you will need to bring in another academic source from your own research.
You will also need to use proper MLA citation style. You can always find information on citing properly at the Online Writing Lab at Purdue University. They can literally help you cite anything in either MLA or APA styles.
Basically, the requirements of the paper are as such:
Interpretation/analysis of Kindred – NOT A PLOT SUMMARY.
Length of 4-5 pages plus a works cited page – no shorter than the end of page 4
Two academic research sources used as evidence
