Choose a disease (i.e. Covid-19; HIV) or public health issue (i.e. domestic violence; traumatic brain injury) for which we have public health data that has tracked the disease or public health issue over time or different location. For example, I am interested in Traumatic Brain Injury. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) track TBI occurrences over years, locations, and differences by race/ethnicity and gender. That topic is an excellent choice, because the issue is tracked. Here are some great websites that track public health issues over time and/or location (these are just examples you may use but you may use a different source- think about the reliability and validity of your source though!):
