We have covered aliens, assassinations, secret societies, and historic tragedies. Remember, you are not limited to the eight theories that we covered. You may choose any of the 29 theories in your e-book. You are not arguing whether the theory is valid, though your opinions matter. You are still welcome to use personal pronouns (I, me, and mine) in your essays. You are sharing information regarding the theory and speaking to the fascination/psychology behind your theories and conspiracy theories in general.
A strong title – Essay #3, Conspiracy Theories, The Bermuda Triangle – these are not acceptable and will result in a point deduction
An MLA formatted heading and header (I see papers submitted in APA)
Indented paragraphs
Double spaced paragraphs (six-eight sentences minimum: no stated maximum)
An MLA formatted Works Cited page – please use the handouts or citation machine
MLA formatted in-text citations using an author’s name or name of a webpage:(Simpson 29).
Three to four outside sources (you are free to use the e-book as one)
At least three in-text citations (one for each source)
At least three listings on the Works Cited page (one for each source)
An essay with an introduction, a history of the conspiracy, evidence for the belief tied to your chosen theory, an in-depth look at the psychology/attraction to conspiracy theories, and a conclusion.
A formatted visual (this does not need to be on the Works Cited list)
