Research Paper/Writing Assignment – No. 2 – 25%
The second writing assignment should discuss Hispanic/Latino Americans in relation to diversity in the criminal justice system. Each student will be required to submit a SIX (6) page paper in APA format with SIX (6) in-text cited references and a separate bibliography/works cited page with SIX (6) references to confirm that citation skills are on college-level. The topic for the second research paper must relate to Latino Americans/Hispanics in the criminal justice system. For example, Latino/Hispanic Gangs, Race and Sentencing, Police Enforcement and the Hispanic/Latino Community; Latinos and Education in a Diverse Community, Latinos and Immigration, Latinos as Victims of Crime, Drug Use and the Hispanic/Latino Community and any other topic relating to Latinos/Hispanics discussed in class or of interest to a student.
