Ethics in persuasion is important
as it involves a clear communication process where intentions are honest
and beneficial to consumers, whereas unethical persuasion is sorely
meant for personal gain at the expense of others. What
would you do if your employer decided to use an unethical persuasive
strategy that disparages a competitor and would involve you as the
person who creates and implements the strategy? (Hint: Think about the various persuasive strategies you have studied.)
