I need your help. I was supposed to be in the process of writing my master’s thesis in photography but I am very involved in my project work, so it is hard to find and time to read and write… The thesis should be about 25 pages long and may include photos and images (in fact, it must). I have started to write, but it is completely wrong. Below I am sending a comment from my professor and a document in which he wrote his comments. I invite you to read it, maybe something will be useful.
I am also uploading my initial plans for my work. These are my professor’s comments:1. THE FORMATION OF THE MYTH OF BEAUTY (in the popular median advertising and social media?) may be this would be quite good to add?Definition of the notion or idea that you call “The Myth of Beauty” what do you mean. How are myths created, who is creating the myth in this case, somehow this perfected beauty has become more like a norm rather than myth etc etc. Formulate some good questions here and integrate them into your text. 2. THE BEAUTY MYTH AND ITS EFFECTS (effects where? Effects of shaping the psyche of young people or popular media standards?)
3. WHAT COMES AFTER OPERATIONS? – TRANSHUMANISM, CYBERFEMINISM AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES (this title I would split into 1. Digitally created and corrected images – “perfect bodies and faces”, 2 Ideas of Transhumanism – perfected human beeing, 3. New Technologies – perfecting own image or creating s.o. else based on the original image or ideas of the self. These are just ideas, try to have 5 to 6 chapters which can be structured as properly developed arguments. 7. Conclusion
