Part I: Short Answer
Select TWO of the following questions to answer. Grading will be based on how clearly you present the information in your answers and how much detail you provide. Students must use one or more primary sources in their answers (primary source documents can be found at bottom of each text chapter). The exam questions will go live on Sunday at midnight and will be due by the following Sunday at midnight. You should incorporate key terms and concepts you have learned in this course and indicate not only what something is, but why it was important in American history. A solid short answer will be at least a paragraph.
Explain the new gender roles for women and men at the turn of the twentieth century.
What was the progressive movement? Detail two specific causes within the larger movement.
What were the cultural clashes of the 1920s?
Explain the difference between the first and second New Deals.
