Steps from Investigation through SentencingOverviewYou should be thoroughly versed in the mechanics of investigation, arrest, pre-trial, trial and post-trial procedures as well as the legal and ethical issues arising out of each stage. In this assignment you will thoroughly explain these main stages focusing especially on the legal issues that arise.
InstructionsIn a 700-word minimum essay or 10-minute creative presentation please describe thoroughly the steps from investigation and arrest through sentencing. Explain each stage of the process and focus on at least one legal issue that can arise at each stage.
Written assignments should be a minimum of 700 words. Creative presentations should be a minimum of 10 minutes and should have some form of speaker notes either embedded (PowerPoint) or attached, as well as a Microsoft Word version of your reference page (or Reference slide).
All assignments should be written in third person/neutral language. Do not use first person language such as “I,” “you,” “we,” “us,” “our,” etc. unless such language is contained in a quote from a scholarly source.
All assignments shall conform to APA formatting. Two sample APA papers are available for your reference in the Syllabus Submodule: Sample APA Papers in the Content area of this course. APA for PowerPoints includes a full “Title Page” slide, proper in-text citations for paraphrased or quoted material on each slide, and a Reference(s) slide.
All assignments in this course should have a minimum of two scholarly source (.edu, .gov, .org and/or the class book), quoted and/or paraphrased material from the source, include proper in-text citations and a separate, properly formatted reference page or reference slide.
When you have completed the assignment, save a copy for yourself in an easily accessible place and submit a copy to the Module 4 Assignment 1 folder.Your assignment will automatically be submitted to Turnitin. PowerPoints can be submitted there, too. You have to hold yourself accountable for any other creative presentation! Everything needs in-text citations and references;
Turnitin is activated for you so review what Turnitin says! If you have to revise your assignment, I will always accept the last assignment you submit subject to any late penalties;
Please note you may have a high Turnitin “plagiarism” ratio SIMPLY because you did not format the in-text citations correctly.
