As “technology advances and the demands spread for higher minimum wage across the country,” more businesses are searching for and adapting ways to reduce labor costs through the use of highly productive machines.

Compose a persuasive response (minimum 500 words, maximum 600 words) that specifically addresses Kauffman’s report that “Zume and other restaurants have been able to save money by hiring more robots and fewer workers . . . .”

In your essay response, also provide your opinion about “a number of other establishments, including Olive Garden and Buffalo Wild Wings” that are “virtually eliminating the need for humans at the counter.”
Your essay must specifically address the light green highlighted passages in the Kauffman article.
Agree or disagree with the types of changes businesses are making in their practices, but your thesis must take a firm stand on the issue of whether robotic workers are good or bad for America’s economy and its labor market.
Keep in mind that some human workers (at this point) must provide periodic and as-needed maintenance for the robots.
Your essay must also include one quotation from the video below. Some students are familiar with this video from an EH 1301 Discussion assignment.

PARAGRAPH DEVELOPMENT:
Paragraph development: In journalistic and some other styles of writing, a paragraph can be just about anything that the writer composes as long as it effectively holds the reader’s attention. A paragraph in EH 1301 and EH 1302 must be attention-getting, but more structured, consisting of a topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence.
