What to Include in your Essay
Your answer to the essay prompt should be the focus of your thesis
Write an introduction for your essay that presents this thesis
Fully explain and illustrate your thesis in the body paragraphs of your essay
Use concrete examples to illustrate your thesis
Point out the significance of this issue (Why does this Issue matter?)
Finish with a conclusion that answers the question: so what?
Add a Works Cited Page at the end of your essay. Follow MLA format.

Wikipedia is not a quality source! (Don’t cite it in your essay)
Do some lateral reading to check to credentials of your sources
Ask: WHO is the author? What is their background (professional/educational)?
Consider: What does this source add to your essay?
