Classical Argument (pro/con). This arrangement contains five major parts and argues for the value of the author’s assertion over their competitors:
Introduction/exordium: identifying the issue and what is at stake
Narrative: laying out the facts of the case
Confirmation: presenting arguments in favor of your position
Refutation: presenting and arguing against the opposing positions
Peroration/conclusion: making a call for change or action.
