I have done the literature review. My professor recommends we choose one of these two topics: You can choose between two broad topics, namely (1) Financial Reporting Quality and (2) Accounting Conservatism. Your job is to develop a research question within either of the two topics which you then examine empirically in your dissertation. For example:
Financial Reporting Quality
i) Do firms with more gender-diverse boards engage in less earnings management?
ii) Do firms with higher levels of earnings management have a higher cost of capital?
Accounting Conservatism
i) Do firms with more gender-diverse boards engage in more prudent accounting (i.e., have higher levels of accounting conservatism?
ii) Do firms with high levels of accounting conservatism have a lower cost of capital?
I have uploaded my literature review file, I have choosen “i) Do firms with more gender-diverse boards engage in less earnings management?”, I need to continue on the same topic, if you prefer to choose another topic is fine, then I need you to write your literature review from scratch with new fees with 3000 words and 2000 words for the data and methodology chapter. I have attached an example of how to write the data and methodology chapter.
you can use IMF, yahoo finance, ruters, etc to collect the data, I will continue with you to write the third chapter next time which is the results and discussion chapter.
