Learning Activity #1: Virtual Teams
Managing a virtual team can present unique challenges to a project team. Identify some of these challenges as outlined in the readings from the week, and ways in which to overcome the challenges. Once you have done this, provide in your own words challenges that you have faced when working in a virtual team, either here at UMUC or elsewhere in your life. Were you able to overcome those challenges? Are there any challenges you have encountered that were not identified in the readings? Learning Activity #2: International Teams
Read the Hong Kong Natural Gas Pipeline case study from the week. What concerns were identified in the case study regarding managing an international team? Can you think of any other concerns a project manager would need to be aware of with an international team?
