InstructionsIn this week’s materials, we learned about the technology landscape in healthcare, the EHR, and other healthcare information systems. Do some further research and write a 2 page paper about one of the key EHR components, ancillary systems, or other health care information systems you learned about this week. The paper should: define the system/component you chose including where it is commonly found or used (care setting, clinical or administrative, ancillary, etc), who the key users are, and what are the common barriers to usage or adoption of that system or component. The paper should also discuss how the system/component that you chose impacts quality, patient care, and/or health care operations.
Do not write the paper about the EHR as a whole as it would be nearly impossible to condense it into 2 pages. Choose one EHR component or ancillary system to write about.
