Feel free to choose a topic that you area already interested in, or based on a project that you are already working on at your place of employment or as a hobby. Do some research about the technology. Choose one of the five subdomains of accounting (i.e., financial, managerial, audit, tax, or systems) to which the technology could be applied. In one to one-and-a-half pages, explain how that technology could be used to improve that subdomain of accounting.
Your write-up should include the following characteristics:
Include your name and section in the header.
A descriptive title.
A short executive summary with a bulleted list of the main points.
One paragraph that describes the technology.
One paragraph that describes your chosen subdomain of accounting.
One paragraph that explains how the application of the new technology could improve accountants’ ability to fulfill their job.
One paragraph that explains any obstacles that would need to be overcome in the implementation of the technology.
Document references on a separate page.
