This is part of your final grade, and tests how you engage with the texts that we have read this unit. It is also practice for the final essay.
· In one paragraph (AT LEAST 10 sentences), explain how the texts we read this unit relate to you and/or affect you and your identity.
· Start with a few general statements about all the texts, and then you can focus on one of them that maybe affected you more than the others.
· You need to give a quote from one of the texts to support what you are saying.
Make sure you integrate the quote in your writing: introduce the quote (According to DuBois, “_______”), quote the quote between “ “ , put the page # in parentheses at the end of your sentence, and EXPLAIN how the quote supports your main idea.
