BEFORE READING (Activate prior knowledge and set the stage for reading)
-What do you expect will be the types of reading, pedagogical strategies, skill development, or other pedagogy to be for the grade level you are about to read for the unit?
DURING READING (Monitor and reflect on what you are reading)
-What kinds of things were both 1) expected and 2) unexpected in what you found as you went through your unit (for what was mentioned in the Before Reading section)? Make a list of each.
-What features of the unit do you like from a pedagogical point of view? Which features do you not like and why?
AFTER READING (opportunity to summarize, question, reflect, and apply understandings)
-What is your overall impression of this unit? Would you see yourself using it with your students as is? What 1 or 2 things could you change to make it more resource friendly, relevant, interesting, age appropriate, or pedagogically appropriate?
-What ONE question do you have that comes out of this overview as related to INTERMEDIATE students and possible programmatic curriculum use?
