Detailed essay on why police should use body cameras, or any of topics noted in the paper deatails

1250-1650 words In this paper, I want you to argue for some form of change, reform, or abolishment of the police. The key to doing this essay well, as in any research essay is to narrow your approach. A sweeping argument for abolishment throughout the country is too big a topic for you to take on in an essay of this size. Here are some possible topics that might narrow the field enough to work: a paper specifically focused on the Oakland, Berkeley or San Francisco police (or if you’re from another area, you can do a paper on that).. An essay on the role of body cameras on police, either for or against them or suggesting a change to the way they are used. An essay specifically documenting the history of racism associated with police, going deep into the historical connections. An essay on police unions and their role in the problem. An essay about white people’s perceptions of black people and the impact this has had on police violence. On the need for police to know their neighborhoods. A look at how police are trained and how that could be changed. At how police are hired. At the culture that exists within the police and how this adds to the problem. At how the police have been used to handle mental illness and drug problems that they are not trained for. There is clearly a long long list but the key here is to find a very specific topic within all this that can allow you to go a little deeper into how we create change, what we have to push for.Like the last essay, this is expected to be a research paper using the MLA format, with four to six sources. At least two of these should be peer-reviewed academic journals: our embedded librarian can help with that if you’re not sure how to go about finding them.
