You will discuss whether the portrayal of family life is realistic or not, and use references from the literature to illustrate/discuss the realities of family life in those situations. You must include three references – two of which must be articles from academic journals. Your chosen references must have been published in the last 5 years (i.e., between 2016-2021). Please note the media you are evaluating (i.e., the show/movie/book) does not count as one of the three required references. You must use APA 7th edition for your references – in your references list and when citing information in-text. If you need help with proper APA format, please review Purdue OWL’s APA Style Guide online. The quality of your writing (i.e., spelling/grammar, sentence structure, etc.) will also be evaluated.
