Balsa Wood Glider Contest
Purpose
To incorporate classroom knowledge into the design of a balsa wood glider.
Goal
To design and build a balsa wood glider with the longest range.
Requirements/Restrictions
1. Glider must fit in an 18”x18”x6” box
2. No propulsive devices
3. Hand launching only
4. Balsa wood, glue and modeling clay construction only – no other materials allowed. Modeling clay allowed for weight distribution adjustments as needed.
Location
The MTSU Recreation Center walking track (above basketball/volleyball courts)
