Double-space, using 12 pt. font, Times New Roman, or equivalent.

Item to note:

When it comes to Personal Statements, it’s very important that you begin to address the prompt as directly and as quickly as possible. You don’t want your reader to swim through two or three paragraphs before you begin to address the prompt.

Remember, your potential reader will be reading dozens, if not hundreds of these statements. Your potential reader is under no obligation to read further if they believe you’re not addressing the prompt.

When grading your statements, I will take on the persona of your potential reader.
