This discussion will use your Continent group.
In this assignment, you will create a Personal Ethics Diary where you will write about an actual ethical situation that you have encountered. You will then share your experience in the Discussion.
- Create a Personal Ethics Diary to increase your moral sensitivity and awareness of ethical situations. In the diary, record an actual ethical situation at work or personal ethical dilemma that you have experienced. Try to indicate the extent to which you were aware that you were facing an ethical situation with ethical implications, including the possible harmful or beneficial effect on others depending on the course of action you considered and selected (Schwartz, 2017).
- Describe the nature of the dilemma, possible options, and the outcome.
- Discuss the effect of any cognitive biases and moral rationalizations on your moral judgment, intentions, and behavior.
- Apply the Rest and Schwartz frameworks in your analysis. (Reference Figure 3.1 in the lesson content.)
- Post your dilemma in the online Discussion to receive feedback from other students.
- Read the posts of your class members and provide feedback (125 – 300 words per response) to at least two responses concerning their dilemmas. Continue the discussion with your class members.
Optional: Feel free to continue your Personal Ethics Diary after the completion of this assignment (however, it is not required).
