HL130: Hospitality Business Training and Development – Portfolio Part 1
For each course in your Hospitality Leadership (BHL) program, you will create four chapters of a hospitality leadership guidebook. You will use the Wix website to display your portfolio in the form of a blog. The purpose of this portfolio is to design a leadership guidebook to assist hospitality organization managers on important aspects of hospitality leadership that you learn in each of your courses throughout the program.
As a leader in the hospitality industry, you will need to provide the proper training to all associates, both initially when joining the team and throughout their careers with the organization. An important part of the initial training is providing an overview of the business and a complete understanding of the organization.
In Portfolio Part 1 you will need to:
Create a cover page for your guidebook.
Create a welcome letter from either the corporate office, local property management, or yourself.
Create a mission statement and vision statement for the organization.
Provide an overview of the organization with information on the past, present, and future. Include achievements and accolades of the organization.

Upload your writing on these 4 parts above to your Wix website and submit your portfolio website address (URL) to Portfolio Part 1 in Moodle. Make sure to check your writing for spelling, grammar, and punctuation before posting to Wix.

Grading Rubric
Grading accepts a start value of 100. Points will be deducted for failure to fully complete or meet the stated requirements. 90-100 = Represents work of superior quality (A); 80-89 = Represents work of good to very good quality (B); 70-79 = Represents adequate command of class content (C); 69 and below = Represents work that shows a need for development or improvement (F); 0 = Represents plagiarized work (F).
