What was your intervention?
Teletherapy tailored to his specific needs, and available through video call and direct messaging.
How will the patient, family, or group apply the intervention?
By signing up for teletherapy service via the internet
Utilizing services on a weekly subscription basis which is billed every 4 weeks.
How often will the intervention be used and under what circumstances?
Patient intends to use service at least once a week, and may reduce to once a month because of cost.
How easy was it for the patient, family, or group to use the intervention?
Patient is able to sign up relatively easily via the company website.
Describe any challenges associated with the patient, family, or group’s use of the intervention.
: The service is not covered under state run medical insurance so his use is cost prohibitive.
The cost of therapy through BetterHelp ranges from $60 to $90 per week (billed every 4 weeks) and it is based on your location, preferences, and therapist availability.
Service can take a few hours or days before a Therapist is matched to the patient.
Were instructions necessary?
Instructions are available on the Betterhealth website and were very straightforward for the patient.
What did the patient, family, or group say about using the intervention?
He is looking forward to being able to speak to someone without being hospitalized a long period of time and to prevent hospitalization.
Was the intervention helpful?
The patient feels optimistic about having teletherapy as a resource while dealing with mental health issues especially during the pandemic.
How will the patient, family, or group continue to use the intervention?
Patient intends to communicate with the therapist on a weekly basis initially and then as needed
Explain how the intervention positively or negatively affected the patient, family, or group’s life.
As he has not been able to begin at this time he has not been able to judge the quality of the therapy as yet.
the knowledge of this service and others like it have increased the mood and outlook of the patient.
The attention and understanding toward this issue during this time have also reduced stress and anxiety for the patient.

PROJECT AND PROGRAM REVIEW
I was initially intimidated by difficulty of practicum, due to my work schedule. I was pleasantly surprised how I was able to work with the professor and able to do the practicum portion. Mental health care is a passion of mine and I was excited to be able to apply myself toward this for my project.
