Writing Assignment #2
As we approach the midpoint of the course, I wanted you to reflect on our readings/discussions from sessions 4-6 and offer your thoughts, accordingly. To this end, I would like you to prepare a paper of at least three to four pages in length to answer the following:
What has surprised you thus far in your study regarding the explosion of advocacy in Washington, D.C.?
Which of the readings have enhanced your knowledge or shown the study private influence of public policy to you in a new light?
Please discuss one current public policy and/or political issue that interests you and demonstrate your knowledge derived thus far during how your preconceived notions of how private influence in public policy may have changed as a result of your studies.
I’m interested to know of your analysis/thought application to the three questions posed, above.
