Code of Ethics Part 1: Code of Ethics (Code You) Kindness: I

Code of Ethics

Part 1: Code of Ethics (Code You)

Kindness: I value “the kindness of a person” the most. This is because I believe kindness is the bed rock of a person. If a person is genuinely kind within their foundation, everything about them will be steady, trustworthy, and upright.

Happiness: I like bringing happiness to a crowd because the humor and laughter of others comforts me. I love bringing joy through laughter; the happiness on display from people around me grants me the greatest joy.

Family: Family always comes first when I make any decisions. I always believe that family members are the only ones that love you without any intentions and that love is the most precious thing in this world. I wish my family to be the happiest people and I would give up almost everything for that.

Gratitude: Being grateful to the people who either helped you or had a positive impact on you is a huge part of Chinese culture, which I was brought up in. There is a saying: “A drop of water shall be returned with a burst of spring”.

Toughness: Kind in heart and tough in mind is what I always believe in. The kindness in me works as a compass that guides me in a correct direction, and it is toughness that enables me to overcome many problems. People encounter all kinds of troublesome issues in life, and there are all kinds of ways to deal with those issues. Personally, I prefer facing them with toughness and confront those problems directly even when I feel like I cannot overcome them. Through experiences, I realize that every time I overcame a challenge, my mind would be stronger, and this process is going to polish me into an independent, strong, and successful individual.

Discipline: Self-discipline helped me become an efficient and goal-driven scholar. I was able to build this great strength from being an amateur kickboxing. This disciplined path fostered my growth trajectory, from making daily training plans, to pushing myself through “torturous” workouts. I developed my methodology of making approachable goals, formulating plans based on them, and sticking to those plans no matter how tough they are.

Confidence: I grew up as a confident kid, and I hadn’t notice it as a what I value for a long time. It came to me in a rather natural way, but as time goes, I gradually saw what it brought to me. Other people will only believe in you if you believe in yourself, and this is very important when either working individually or in a team. It is also a great indicator of mental health, that most confident people are living a good life with purpose.

Bigger plan: Although I do not have a religion, I have faith in the concept that everyone has a bigger plan in life, and what happens in one’s life is a part of that plan. This value gives me an ability to handle failure, because I know that the failure is only going to make me stronger and that my plan will not fail me in the end.
