Next, read The Boston Globe article entitled, “Stylists Taught to Spot Signs of Domestic Violence through Middlesex Program.”  After doing so, answer the following questions:
What degree of prevention best describes this program?  Could any other degrees of prevention be applied?  Why or why not?  Hamby (2006) refers to “spillover effects” as a concomitant impact of some programs.  What do you see as being the potential “spillover effects” of this particular program?  What are the challenges to evaluating a program like this?  As a program manager, how might you look to assess the impact of Cut It Out?  Finally, if you worked in the domestic violence prevention field, would this program be a worthwhile investment to take into your community? Why or why not?
