Based on watching the TED Talk called “Beyond the Cliff” by Laura van Dernoot

Based on watching the TED Talk called “Beyond the Cliff” by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky, please respond to the following:
Using specific information from the TED Talk, explain your understanding of the ways the “impact of the work” (the cumulative toll of being witness to adversity, trauma, oppression, lack of resources, etc.) can show up in individuals, and why it is important for the workforce to be aware of these warning signs.
Discuss thoughts you have about what role the dual pandemics (COVID-19 and racism/injustice) have played in relation to experiences of vicarious trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue in the workforce.
Share how you will commit to Laura’s message of “presence” as you strive to maintain a trauma-informed and human rights perspective in your development as a social worker.
