Example:
Curious George by H.A. Rey has many characteristics of what makes up a good children’s book. It has themes that children can relate to like “trying” to be good. It is also very exciting as he has adventures. The adventures of George and the man with the yellow hat are engaging for children and adults. The patterns in the story are predictable for children. He is curious so we predict that he will be naughty even though he promises to try to be “good”. The illustrations are fun and cute, entertaining for children and adults. The adventures of George are humorous and developmentally appropriate for children.
