The Employee Handbook is one artifact of a company’s culture and the objective of the exercise is to expose your team to two handbooks. One handbook is over 20 years old and the other is a contemporary or new handbook that is less than five years old. Your team will review these handbooks and consider the learnings of the semester and answer the following questions.

A) These questions are for the older handbook. In your submission please specify which handbook your reviewed.

Pretend you are a new hire at this firm. What content or rules did you find reassuring that made you glad you joined the firm? and why?

Still as a new hire, what content or rules were surprising or made you feel uncomfortable with your new employer? and why?
