city\/county in which you live or that you serve <\/p>\n
as a law enforcement or public safety professional. The crux
of this assignment is to compare that <\/p>\n
particular type of crime in your city\/county with both
statewide trends and national trends, while <\/p>\n
demonstrating your expertise in the origin and methodology
of the UCR and NIBRS. <\/p>\n
Your report should have two parts. <\/p>\n
1. Summarize and describe the selected crime and related
trends at the city\/county, state and <\/p>\n
national levels. Use the UCR, NIBRS, Bureau of Justice
Statistics etc. to report a meaningful and <\/p>\n
depth-oriented examination of the selected crime at these
various levels and over time. Using <\/p>\n
data display techniques from Module 1 is strongly
encouraged. <\/p>\n
2. Describe the source(s) of the data in the report and
their respective strengths and weaknesses. <\/p>\n
Demonstrate your understanding of the nuances, strengths and
weaknesses of the UCR and <\/p>\n
