TOPIC: The subjective experience of acute or chronic pain – What factors
\ninfluence how someone experiences pain? How can this knowledge be
\napplied to help quality of life?
\nREQUIREMENTS:
\nYour research must include at least two journal articles or books. That is,
\nwebsites can be very helpful and informative, but your final paper must
\ninclude full articles (whether from the Internet or elsewhere) or books on
\nthe topic. Sources should be reputable and consistent with what you
\nlearned in the module as well as other sources. GoogleScholar and PDF
\narticles from the Internet can be helpful resources. This paper requirement
\nmeans that you need to include at least two primary sources in your paper;
\narticles from the Internet can be included, but they would be in addition to
\nthe two minimum primary sources. Primary sources are firsthand accounts;
\nthus, they involve the author writing about his or her own work. Primary
\nsources include books or published journal articles.
\nFormat:
\nI. Introduction. Introduce your topic and explain why this topic
\nwas of interest to you.
\nII. Body of paper. Fully address your topic and all the
\ncomponents of it. Support your points with your cited research.
\nThe topic should be explained in full. This section should be at
\nleast three pages long.
\nIII. Application. Discuss your topic\u2019s application component. Be
\nsure to mention what applications are recommended by others
\nand what you recommend. You must include your own views
\nabout what the application should be, and clearly state them and
\nwhy. This section should be at least one to two pages
\nIV. Conclusion. Conclude your topic with a wrap-up paragraph.
\nSome suggestions for a good conclusion: a) end by summarizing
\nwhat was learned about this topic; b) end by emphasizing a
\nparticular application of the information; c) end by suggesting
\nwhere future research and discussion should go on this topic<\/p>\n
